Class Two

Teacher - Mrs Armstrong

Virtual learning Environment

The children in key stage 1 & 2 have access to a virtual learning environment.
The children log on using their individual username and password (The VLE button on the menu will take you there). They can then view their class page enabling them to continue their learning experience at home. Teachers and teaching assistants regularly update the class pages with photographs, quizzes and games related to work covered in class. The VLE also enables parents to keep up to date with their children’s learning.

In Class 2  we have  been learning about The Great Fire of  London .  We know when where and why it started.  Why it spread so quickly and how it was finally put out.  We know that some good things did happen because of and after the fire.

Here are some recordings of the class

On Thursday 13th November we had some special visitors in our class. Mr. and Mrs. Doe came into school with their pet chinchillas called Harley and Soft Tail.  We all sat quietly in a circle while Mr and Mrs Doe, carefully got them out of their cage so that we could stroke them if we wanted to.  We learnt that they are nocturnal that is why they have big eyes and ears to help them in the dark. They use their tails to help them balance.   We were shown the food that they eat and the sand that they bath in!! They were a little bit wriggly but we soon tired them out and they fell asleep when they were put back in their cage.  We thought that they were adorable and you can see this in our photographs.
