Find out about toys from long ago. Please can full-time children bring in a parent’s or Grandparent’s toy (it will be looked after carefully and only kept for a day) or a photograph of one for the first week back.

design & technology

Make a merry-go-round, snakes & ladders game and a sock puppet.

ICT

List games and toys that involve computers. Design a poster advertising a toy.

Creative development

art

Children will paint a picture of their favourite toy which they will bring in from home. They will look at Lowry street scenes, and make silhouettes of people playing games. They will make bubble prints.

Listen to ‘Dance of the toys’ from the ballet Coppelia by Delibes.
Learn about texture and high and low sounds.
